Armour Lake
Armour Lake is one of my favorite lakes for many reasons. It is a nice quiet lake with deep (26 ft avg depth), very clear water (10 ft clarity), a beautiful 4.8 mile shoreline that makes it great for kayaking, rowing, etc. While technically a public lake, it is hard to get access. You have to come in the stream from Crab Lake and that takes a little work and isn't going to happen with a motor boat. This helps keep it quiet. While Armour Lake is a ways away from things like grocery stores and hospitals, there are some good places to grab a bite to eat nearby. The lake has a lot of large parcels on it which helps add to the peaceful vibe. There are only 15 owners per mile of shoreline.
