Carlin Lake

   Carlin Lake is a quiet lake with no public boat launch. The lake has really clear water with clarity readings over twenty feet. The 2.7 mile shoreline is surrounded by a picturesque Northwoods forest and is great for kayaking and canoeing. Carlin Lake also has beautiful water color. Since the lake is in the town of Presque Isle and is only 155 acres, jet skis are not allowed. Carlin is a deep seepage lake with an average depth of 18 feet and a max depth of 36 feet. The lake is about 13 minutes from Presque Isle, 16 minutes from Manitowish Waters and 20 minutes from Boulder Junction. There are about 4 acres of water per owner on the lake and about 14 owners per mile of shoreline. Another nice feature of Carlin Lake is that it is really close to Presque Isle Lake. Presque Isle Lake is one of the nicer big lakes in the area and is a great spot to go if you are looking for a day of higher speed fun on the water.
