North Nokomis Lake
North Nokomis is a bit of a forgotten lake. It is tucked away near County Rd D and has a lot of state land around it, so there aren't many homes (about 6 per mile of shoreline). The lake has very clear (15 ft clarity) and deep (average depth of 30 ft) water, and because of its isolated location, is quiet. Though isolated, the lake is less than 15 minutes from St. Germain and just over 20 minutes to Eagle River and Minocqua. I have heard that the lake has great fishing. The levels of the lake do fluctuate a few feet because the cranberry marsh to the south uses lake water for their crops.
