Upper Kaubashine Lake
Upper Kaubashine is one of the nicest smaller lakes in the Northwoods. It has no public access so it is nice and quiet. The roads around the lake are pretty lightly traveled and the Hazelhurst area is really picturesque so walking and biking around the lake is pretty nice. The water color is just gorgeous, the lake is deep and clear, the shoreline is a good mix of different tree species and really pretty, AND it is close to Minocqua.
There are about 25 owners per mile of shoreline and 2.15 acres of water per owner. The lake is 181 acres with an average depth of 26 feet. The clarity is 15.5 feet and there are 3.4 miles of shoreline on the spring fed lake.

Biking/Walking/Ski Trails:
Bearskin State Trail - The Bearskin Trail is an 18 mile semi-paved trail that isn't groomed in the winter. The surface is crushed granite and the trail is pretty level. A trail pass is required for biking.
Paddling Routes:
No nearby designated paddling routes but Upper Kaubashine has great waters for paddling and the Minocqua Chain is close by.
Snowmobile Trails:
The Cross Country Cruisers Trail System runs a little bit north of the lake. This club grooms 90 miles of trails that connect to the rest of the trails in Northern Wisconsin.
